The AVON XM50 mask was the near final product of the JSGPM Program (Joint Service Group Protective Mask). The AVON XM50 mask was in production for approximately one year or less from what we can tell, only during 2004 it would appear. Pictures provided show some of the different features of the XM50, such as the bright orange rubber valve pieces and the clear nose cup inside. The final mask's design is also much different in terms of how the airflow inlets are in relation to the XM50 mask. The filters themselves had to be modified from the XM50 to the now widely used M50 as well. The XM50 mask is a true collectors dream!
