The AVON FM53 / M53 respirator is probably the most highly desired mask for law enforcement and military personnel due to its unique ability to function in either PAPR or APR mode as needed, you essentially are getting two masks in one. Such a unique and essential piece of equipment requires and deserves equally impressive accessories. The hood for the Avon FM53 / M53 series mask stands up to the challenge. Unlike most quick doff hoods that need to be manipulated over the mask or the mask's second skin, this hood has a second skin incorporated into it serving as both hood and second skin. This dual innovative design also makes accidental exposure through a faulty hood/mask seal all the more unlikely. This IS the highest quality hood available on the market, unfortunately its just for the FM53 / M53 mask.
